Overview

Este libro pretende poner al alcance del mundo hispanohablante las nociones básicas de la programación paralela desde un punto de vista didáctico, con inclusión de múltiples ejemplos y códigos, tanto en OpenMP (estándar para programación en sistemas de memoria compartida, como por ejemplo las arquitecturas multinúcleo) como en MPI (estándar para programación de sistemas basados en paso de mensajes, que incluyan a las redes de ordenadores). Dirigido principalmente a estudiantes de informática, que deben adquirir los conocimientos básicos sobre programación paralela que les permita resolver de manera eficiente problemas en los sistemas computacionales actualmente disponibles en el mercado, pero también a científicos que tratan con problemas cuyas necesidades de computación exigen el uso eficiente de estos sistemas.
